Tree Surgery

Hansen offer a wide range of professional arboriculture services.

  • Tree felling/dismantling - the removal of damaged, dangerous or unwanted trees.

  • Crown reduction - crown of the tree is made smaller, either all over or in a certain area to redress an imbalance of the shape. A good reduction/reshaping will leave the tree with a strong framework of large branches

  • Crown Thinning - selective removal of branches to reduce the density of the tree. It should be achieved by removal of branches from throughout the crown

  • Crown lift - This is the removal of the lowest branches to a specified height and where possible should be achieved by removal of smaller branches so to minimise stress to the tree

  • Pollarding - upper branches of a tree are removed, promoting a dense head of foliage and branches.

  • Pruning - the trimming of various sections of the tree

All tree work is completed in accordance to BS3998:2010 Recommendations for Tree Work ensuring best practice and procedures.
